Consumers Redeem Coupons Faster When They Discover Them On A Mobile Device

Consumers who discover a coupon while using their smartphone or tablet typically redeem that offer sooner than if they had found it while using a PC.
According to a RetailMeNot study which tracked the digital couponing habits of US shoppers between January and June 2014:
- Consumers will redeem coupons they find on their smartphone the fastest. 60% of consumers who redeemed a coupon they found on their smartphone did so within "several hours" or sooner.
- Tablet-wielding consumers reacted nearly identically when discovering a coupon on their device. 59% who redeemed a coupon they found on their tablet did so in several hours or less.
- Desktop-based shoppers are the slowest to redeem coupons. 49% said they waited "several days, weeks, or later" to redeem a coupon they found while using a PC computer.
